Representatives from Solent NHS had continued access to students through out the day ensuring that messages of promoting the importance of looking after personal welfare and practicing safe sex were spread to a wide audience.
Their stand also offered information on the prevention and treatment of STIs friendly advice, sharing of knowledge and an informal chat about looking out for students and their mates. The representatives also approached students around the university with a 'lucky dip' box to initiate conversations about sexual health between groups of students.
With the rise in STI's in young adults it was important for sexual health to be made a well discussed topic within the universities.
If you would like any further information please check out the NHS websites and pick up a free chlamydia test from outside the SU reception or grab some free condoms from our Welfare Officer Katy Loveless!
