Winch-formation!
So you're here and all settled in, are you? There is SOOO much to do that still lays undiscovered; so get out there and explore! From some fantastic SU events and campaigns through to the long history of this antique and charming city, there is an incredible amount to see and do and feel and taste - so what are you waiting for!?
Student Union Events:
Naturally, the first port of call in the stormy and wild sea we call student life! There are a whole host of evening and daytime events organised by your Student Union, from Coffee House Sessions to the big bad weekly BOP. Make sure you stay informed and ready for your next great experience by visiting the events page: http://winchesterstudents.co.uk/events.
Societies & Sports Teams:
If you are feeling adventurous, just want to meet some new friends or are perhaps a little cocky, joining a sports team or society is a good place to start. With over 100 and counting, there are plenty to choose from, including Debating, WARGs, Ultimate Frisbee and (of course!) PAW.
Still not satisfied? Then start your own! All you need is 15 signatures and exec confirmation, and you will soon have your new Harry Potter/Book Club/Underwater Ironing society ready for action and excitement.
Best Bar None:
Having won the Best Bar None Award three times in a row, the newly-revamped Terrace Bar is a great place to start exploring the vivid night-life of Winchester. If that doesn't completely slate your thirst, then spending some time visiting other Best Bar None venues in the city certainly will! As the scheme focuses on safety, social responsibility and good management, there is no excuse not to give them all a try.

Explore!
For those days when all your studying is done and that itch to discover is biting hard, there is always something interesting to do in Winchester. There is no exhaustive list that can cover the hidden secrets and marvellous pleasures the city has to offer, so you'll have to get out there and find them yourself! A good place to start is the top of St. Catherine's Hill. From this green and serene overlook, most of Winchester and the University are visible on a clear day. For the most part, simply walking in a random direction can reveal a place of interest or hidden gem.
