This is ‘A Weekend with the Lights Out’ that will highlight the positive impact of our collective action.
My name is Harry Sampson, your friendly neighbourhood Communications Officer, and today I’ll be informing you of the Campus Blackout this weekend.

My post for today will be quite a short one, as I’m more interested in getting involved than sitting in the Learning Café waiting for them to come and switch my computer off!
Joking aside, this event is being held (obviously) over the entire weekend. - Wash clothes with housemates to save water
- Put on a jumper instead of turning up the heating
- Use a bicycle or those leg things instead of the car
- Reuse carrier bags
- Go for a romantic ambience and dine by candlelight
- Start a garden compost heap to reduce waste
SO REMEMBER: 7PM TONIGHT IS THE CAMPUS BLACKOUT
